A Taste of the Classics in Boone, North Carolina

With the spring Classics on our doorstep, it’s a dangerous time to be browsing for flights across the pond. However, you may not need to go all the way to Europe to get your classics fix. Nestled in the High Country of North Carolina, the dirt and gravel roads of Boone play host to the annual Boone Roubaix.

Modeled after the European classics, the Boone Roubaix offers plenty of pavé and rightfully earns its Hell of the High Country nickname. The 50-mile course features over 10 miles of dirt and gravel roads and are deceptively difficult, with the course offering nearly 5000 feet of climbing.
