RCS Sport, organizer of the Giro d’Italia has just announced two gran fondo events to be held in the United States. Part of a worldwide branding mission, the events seek to offer a classic Italian gran fondo experience. Dubbed the Gran Fondo Giro d’Italia, the series begins with two events in the United States. Events in Pasadena, California, and Coral Gables, Florida, will be held on Sunday, July 22 and Sunday, November 11 respectively.
The events promise to be a statement about everything Italian, thanks to 2-day expos, which will showcase the best of what Italy has to offer, including special guests and famed brands.
“The Giro d’Italia has an appeal in California that goes well beyond the sportive importance of this historical Italian event” commented Giuseppe Perrone, Consul General of Italy in Los Angeles.
“It is a brand that blends the distinctive elegance and design of Made in Italy with the charm of our country, unique for its culture and history.”
