McKenzie Pass Open for Busyness

Folks, it’s time to get busy. Making travel plans that is. Every year the McKenzie Pass, one of Oregon’s most beautiful rides, is open just to cyclists for a limited time. Well, as you’ve hopefully gathered, that time is now.

One of Oregon’s most scenic Cascade Mountains passes, McKenzie Pass offers striking views of the amazing scenery afforded by the Willamette Valley and the region’s interesting geologic history.

It also offers one hell of a ride. With plenty of switchbacks—and an elevation profile to suit, the McKenzie Pass is a favorite among locals. As you climb out of lush forests into vast lava fields, you’re likely to forget about the hot springs located at the ride’s end—but just for a brief second.
