Nigel Peake’s Bicycle Travel Journal and 11 Questions

Every once in a while, a product floats across our desks that excedes all expectations. Maybe it’s our journalistic love for notebooks or maybe it’s the intrigue behind the artwork and tiny brown envelopes scattered throughout, but we think the Bicycle Travel Journal is pretty darn rad.

One of the intriguing 'Memento envelopes'.

This journal was created by Nigel Peake, an artist and cyclist from Strangford, Ireland. According to the press-release that came with the journal, Peake loves cycling, drawing, nature, buildings and cricket.

One of Peake's beautiful watercolor illustrations appropriately next to a front and rear 'puncture log'..

“I have always enjoyed cycling, from the age of five, and I have the same joy for cycling as I do Drawing,” explained Peake, about the Bicycle Travel Journal.

The Bicycle Travel Journal retails for $15 and will be available here.

One more of Peake's illustrations for good measure. This one is titled 'Uphill and downhill'. The page before is a spot to log elevations.
