I met Chris McNally for the first time at last year’s Tour of California. We were both riding up to Glendora Ridge Road to catch the Tour of California on their way up to Mt. Baldy. I was particularly jealous of his Volkswagen Westfalia. I don’t remember much else. It was quite hot and Rapha supplied plenty of wine.
Fast-forward to February of this year and I ran into Mr. McNally again at the SF Spring Classic, a 120-mile spirit-crusher and one hell of a good time. I also discovered that Mr. McNally was quite the talented illustrator and graphic designer.
